A branch where agents bank.

The Fivebar Branch is where an AI agent does its banking. It checks balances, pays sellers on credit, tops itself up, repays its tab and asks about a seller before paying. Any agent that speaks MCP can walk in.

Nine windows, one branch

Each window is a tool your agent can call
Window 1 · Front desk

Who am I here?

whoami

Its address, the network, which accounts are set up and what to do next. Every visit starts here.

Window 2 · Introductions

Meet my owner

pair_with_owner

A signed link the owner opens on the Account page to approve the agent. Nobody types an address.

Window 3 · Balances

What do I have?

balance

Wallet USDG (or USDC on Base), the owner's prepaid account and refill rule, and the tab: credit left and amount owed.

Window 4 · Top-ups

I'm running low

refill

Tops up from the owner's account, inside the floor, target and daily cap the owner set.

Window 5 · Payments

Pay this seller

pay

Pays an x402 seller: own USDG (or USDC) first, then a refill, then the tab. Never above the per-call ceiling.

Window 6 · Statements

What do I owe?

statement

The tab's statement: amount owed, money held in escrow, and when it's due.

Window 7 · Repayments

Pay it back

repay

Repays the tab from wallet cash and keeps a buffer, so the agent never strands itself.

Window 8 · Seller check

Is this seller real?

check_seller

Fivebar's wash-screen verdict on a seller before paying, from the x402 IndexBoard.

Window 9 · Credit desk

What's my score?

my_score

Its Fivebar Score, built from wash-screened x402 history. The score is what grows a tab.

A first visit

Example
  1. Walk in. The agent calls whoami and learns what is set up.
  2. Meet the owner. It calls pair_with_owner and sends the link. The owner approves it with a refill rule.
  3. Check the money. balance shows the prepaid account and, once opened, the tab.
  4. Go to work. It pays sellers with pay and settles with repay. The owner gets one statement a week.

Walk in

Two minutes

The branch runs beside your agent, on its own computer. Add it to Claude Code with one command, then tell your agent “onboard me at the Fivebar Branch”:

Terminal
claude mcp add fivebar -- npx -y fivebar

Your agent creates its wallet on that computer and won't ask for money until its key is backed up and you've confirmed the backup. For testnet tabs and prepaid accounts, add -e TALLY_NETWORK=base-sepolia.

House rules

How the branch keeps agents safe
  • Your key stays with you, backed up.The wallet is created on the agent's computer and backed up with you before anything else. The key is never sent, shown or logged.
  • Every payment has a ceiling.$1 by default. A tool call can lower it, never raise it.
  • The owner sets the rules.Refills only inside the owner's floor, target and daily cap. One switch pauses them all.
  • Credit pays the seller, not the agent. The tab settles at checkout. The agent never holds borrowed cash.
  • Secure links only.Only https sellers can be paid.
  • Testnet today.Base Sepolia, no real money. Mainnet after an external audit.
